Smoothie Recipes in a Pinch

So many of us want to eat healthy, but let’s face it. We’re short on time.

We crave convenience. We want something quick and easy.

Which is why I came up with these bag ahead smoothie mixes that you can just toss in a blender.

Prepare in advance and throw in the freezer, and you’ll have breakfasts (or snacks) for a week or more.

The following recipes are based on the fruit being frozen and bagged. Just pick a bag, and toss in the blender with your choice of milk, yogurt, or juice. And add a protein mix for added filling power.

Razzle Dazzle

1 cup raspberries

1 cup blueberries

1 cup strawberries

1 cup spinach


Sunshine Day

1 cup raspberries

1 orange

1/2 banana

1 cup mango


Watermelon Refresher

1 kiwi

1 1/2 cup watermelon, balls or cubes

1 1/2 cup green grapes (about 20)


Super Sweet and Tart

1 grapefruit (peel and all is fine)

1 banana

1 cup pineapple

1 cup spinach


Topic Mango Tango

1 banana

1 cup strawberries

1/2 cup mango


And as always, kale is a nice base if you’re lacking spinach. It adds bulk without adding an unusual new flavor to the mix.

And if you’re looking to add protein, bone broth protein works well, or this chocolate one from Garden of Eden is awesome. I love the chocolate flavor. GREAT addition to smoothies.
