As a Young Living distributor I’ve come to love not just the personal aspect of diffusing the oils in my home and baking with them, but also being able to use them to gift others. And since we’re moving into the winter season, and consequently the season of dry, thirsty skin, I thought I’d post some helpful tips.
While teaching classes at a local Hobby Lobby is great in and of itself, my spiritual gift is giving and I’ve used that to grow my business, and grow my personal, as well as professional, relationships.
Something I came across in my recent issue of Essential Oils magazine, by Young Living, was a recipe for Whipped Body Butter which sounded amazing. Even though we’re (hopefully) just now finishing up the winter weather here in the South, I know this recipe will come in handy for seasons to come, not just with my crew, but among friends.
Whipped Body Butter
1 cup organic coconut oil
1 cup organic SOLID cocoa butter
Place first two ingredients in saucepan and warm over medium heat until liquid (approximately 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and pour into glass bowl.
Set in fridge to cool, but not harden, between 30 and 45 minutes.
Stir in essential oil(s).
Using an electric mixer, whip about 10 minutes, until firm peaks form.
Scoop into sealable jar and store at room temperature.
Great for dry skin on winter (or any other) days! 🙂
And you know what Young Living offers that is also a great way to combat dry skin, winter or not?
Has anyone tried this? If so, which oil did you choose?
And feel free to try this super easy Frankincense and Shea Butter Eye Cream recipe while you’re at it!
